Carmen is no stranger to the stage! She has been traveling the southeast performing live most of her life.
Being an accomplished pianist Tate has an ability to match her powerhouse vocals to her rockin' style on the piano. Her talent is uniquely unmatched. A Queen City Music Awards Female Rock Vocalist of the Year Nominee, Carmen is high energy and knows how to warm up the room with her crowd pleasing, rockin' involvement and performance.
Some of her influences are Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett, Melissa Etheridge and Steve Perry.
Steve Green
Lead Guitar
Steve Green is an accomplished self-taught musician playing Drums, Bass, and Guitar. He moved east from Phoenix, AZ to Charlotte, NC with the band Honey Child.
Steve started teaching at Music and Arts Center in Huntersville, while playing in, and subbing for, a multitude of Charlotte Bands.
Steve has had the opportunity to perform at venues such as the Hard Rock Cafe in Chicago, the Veteran's Memorial Colosseum in Phoenix and of course Oxnard, TN.
Mike "Slappy" Hornstein
Bass
Mike Hornstein aka Slappy was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He started playing guitar at age 14 eventually adding bass and keys to his repertoire. 5 Towns College for Music is where he studied music performance, music theory, music recording and music business.
Career Highlights include: Tampa Bay Stadium w/ Barry Williams: Aloha Stadium for the Hula Bowl halftime show: and Daytona 500 Race Week.
Slappy always brings the funk/groove and can be found playing around NC with the Carmen Tate Band.
